The present invention relates to a secure message transmission apparatus and a method for processing a secure message to safely transmit a secure message requiring security by encrypting and decrypting a message in a secure area based on a secure operating system physically separated from a non-secure area based on a non-secure operating system. The method for processing a secure message according to an embodiment of the invention comprises: a process in which a non-secure message service unit receives a message transmitted from a transmission-side terminal and determines the message is an encrypted message; a process in which, when the message is encrypted, the non-secure message service unit transmits the encrypted message to the secure message service unit; and a process in which the secure message service unit decrypts the encrypted message, then encrypts the decrypted message again, and transmits the encrypted message to a reception-side terminal. 본 문서는 보안 메시지 전송 장치 및 그 처리 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 문서의 한 실시 예에 따른 보안 메시지 처리 방법은 비보안 메시지 서비스부가 발신측 단말로부터 전송된 메시지를 수신하여 상기 메시지가 암호화된 메시지인지 판단하는 과정; 상기 메시지가 암호화된 메시지인 경우, 상기 비보안 메시지 서비스부가 상기 암호화된 메시지를 보안 메시지 서비스부로 전달하는 과정; 및 상기 보안 메시지 서비스부가 상기 암호화된 메시지를 복호화한 후, 상기 복호화된 메시지를 다시 암호화하여 수신측 단말로 전송하는 과정을 포함할 수 있다.
