Summary:The present invention relates to a medical information providing apparatus which displays medical information on an area extracted from a medical image, and a medical information providing method. According to the present invention, the medical information providing apparatus comprises: an acquiring unit for obtaining a medical image from a hospital server; an extracting unit for extracting a lesion image from the medical image; a matching unit for matching the lesion image with a body map; and a processing unit for displaying medical information corresponding to a matched area in the body map having the lesion image matched therewith. 본 발명은 의료 영상에서 추출된 영역에 대한 의료정보를 표시하는 의료정보 제공 장치 및 의료정보 제공 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 의료정보 제공 장치는, 병의원 서버에서 의료 영상을 획득하는 획득부와, 상기 의료 영상으로부터 병변 이미지를 추출하는 추출부, 상기 병변 이미지를, 인체지도에 정합하는 정합부 및 상기 병변 이미지가 정합되는, 상기 인체지도 내 정합 영역에 대응하는 의료정보를 표시하는 처리부를 포함할 수 있다.
