The present invention relates to a display device and a manufacturing method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the display device comprises: a substrate; a plurality of data lines located on the substrate; a first color filter located in a region between a first data line and a second data line, which are adjacent to each other, among the plurality of data lines; a first dummy color filter configured to overlap a third data line adjacent to the first data line, separated from the first color filter, and configured to show the same color as the first color filter; and a second color filter located in a region between the first data line and the third data line and configured to show a color different from the first color filter. A thickness of the first dummy color filter is thinner than a thickness of the first color filter. The second color filter is located on the first dummy color filter. Therefore, the display device can lower manufacturing costs. 본 발명은 표시 장치 및 그 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 한 실시예에 따른 표시 장치는 기판, 상기 기판 위에 위치하는 복수의 데이터선, 상기 복수의 데이터선 중 이웃한 제1 데이터선과 제2 데이터선 사이의 영역에 위치하는 제1 색필터, 상기 제1 데이터선과 이웃하는 제3 데이터선과 중첩하고 상기 제1 색필터와 이격되어 있으며 상기 제1 색필터와 동일한 색을 나타내는 제1 더미 색필터, 그리고 상기 제1 데이터선과 상기 제3 데이터선 사이의 영역에 위치하며 상기 제1 색필터와 다른 색을 나타내는 제2 색필터를 포함하고, 상기 제1 더미 색필터의 두께는 상기 제1 색필터의 두께보다 작고, 상기 제2 색필터는 상기 제1 더미 색필터의 위에 위치한다.
