Summary:The present invention relates to a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) marker in the ADAM15 gene for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle and to a method for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle using the same. The present invention provides a composition for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle comprising a polynucleotide consisting of 10-100 of successive DNA sequences including one or more SNP markers among 115th nucleotide of SEQ ID NO: 1 and 292nd nucleotide of SEQ ID NO: 1 or a complementary polynucleotide thereof. In addition, the present invention provides the method and a kit for diagnosing the meat quality in Korean native cattle by using the SNP marker. Based on the fact, the diagnosis method of the present invention is able to be usefully used for selecting Korean native cattle species having excellent meat quality in early stages to improve the same. 본 발명은 ADAM15 유전자 내의 한우 육질 진단용 단일염기다형성 마커 및 이를 이용한 한우 육질의 진단방법에 관한 것으로서, 서열번호 1의 115번째 뉴클레오티드 및 서열번호 1의 292번째 뉴클레오티드 중 어느 하나 이상의 단일염기다형성(SNP) 마커를 포함하는 10-100개의 연속적인 DNA 서열로 구성되는 폴리뉴클레오티드 또는 이의 상보적인 폴리뉴클레오티드를 포함하는 한우 육질 진단용 조성물을 제공한다. 또한 본 발명은 상기 SNP 마커를 이용한 한우 육질의 진단방법 및 진단용 키트를 제공한다. 이를 토대로 육질이 우수한 한우품종을 조기에 선발하여 개량하는데 유용하게 사용할 수 있다.
