Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for confirming a dimming state of a lighting device. The apparatus comprises: a measurement unit measuring a current or power, supplied to the lighting device through a power supply line connected to the lighting device under a dimming control; and a dimming state verification unit determining a dimming value of the lighting device by using a current value or a power value, measured by the measurement unit.
