Summary:Provided are a level shifter and a display device comprising the same. The level shifter receives an on-input signal and an off-input signal, determines the number of the phases of gate pulse, and generates a control signal according to the determined number; a switching controller which receives the control signal and generates at least one switching signal; and an output buffer which receives the at least one switching signal and generates the level-shifted gate pulse. So, the number of the phases of the gate pulse can be selected without an additional register. 레벨 쉬프터 및 이를 포함하는 디스플레이 장치가 제공된다. 상기 레벨 쉬프터는 온 입력 신호와 오프 입력 신호를 제공받아, 게이트 펄스의 위상의 개수를 결정하고, 결정된 개수에 따라서 제어 신호를 생성하는 위상 컨트롤러; 상기 제어 신호를 제공받아, 적어도 하나의 스위칭 신호를 생성하는 스위칭 컨트롤러; 및 상기 적어도 하나의 스위칭 신호를 제공받아, 레벨 쉬프트된 상기 게이트 펄스를 생성하는 출력 버퍼를 포함한다.
