Summary:The present invention relates to an electromagnetic wave absorber comprising a base member and an electromagnetic wave-absorbing film formed on the base member. The present invention is applicable to an absorber capable of absorbing a broad frequency band of electromagnetic waves. Even with the electromagnetic wave-absorbing film with a thickness of 1 mm or less, the electromagnetic wave absorber exhibits good absorption performance. The present invention also provides a film-forming paste suitably used to form an electromagnetic wave-absorbing film of an electromagnetic wave absorber. In an electromagnetic wave absorber including a base member and an electromagnetic wave-absorbing film formed on the base member, the electromagnetic wave absorbing film contains a specific epsilon iron oxide, thus having a relative dielectric constant of 6.5 to 65. 본 발명은 기재와, 상기 기재 위에 형성된 전파 흡수막을 구비하는 전파 흡수체로서, 폭넓은 주파수 대역의 전파에 적용 가능하고, 전파 흡수막이 막 두께 1mm 미만의 박막인 경우에도, 양호한 전파 흡수 특성을 나타내는 전파 흡수체를 제공한다. 또, 상기 전파 흡수체가 구비하는 전파 흡수막의 형성에 적합하게 이용되는 막형성용 페이스트를 제공한다. 기재와, 상기 기재 상에 형성된 전파 흡수막을 구비하는 전파 흡수체에서, 전파 흡수막에 특정한 엡실론형 산화철을 함유시켜 전파 흡수막의 비유전율을 6.5~65로 한다.
