Summary:The present invention provides a method to evaluate low temperature toughness of a weldment, which secures excellent low temperature toughness characteristics of a weldment in a submerged arc welding method to manufacture a hull structure with a steel plate having excellent low temperature toughness characteristics at -60°C. Moreover, the present invention provides the method to evaluate low temperature toughness of the weldment which does not require additional repeated evaluation of change for an amount of thickness and heat input as low temperature toughness of the weldment is able to be evaluated through a calculation of an AF index. 본 발명은 -60℃에서 저온인성 특성이 우수한 강판으로 선체구조물을 제조하는 서브머지드 아크 용접 방법시, 용접부의 우수한 저온인성 특성을 확보할 수 있는 용접부의 저온인성 평가방법을 제공한다. 또한, 본 발명은 AF지수의 연산을 통하여 용접부의 저온인성 평가가 가능함에 따라 두께와 입열량의 변화에도 별도의 반복 평가가 필요 없는 용접부의 저온인성 평가방법을 제공한다.
