Disclosed is a memory device. The memory device comprises blocks of memory cells to provide a gate-all-around structure by comprising: a plurality of stacks of horizontal active lines such as NAND string channel lines; a plurality of vertical slices which are penetrated by the horizontal active lines while surrounding the horizontal active lines; and a memory film arranged between the horizontal active lines in the stacks and vertical slices in the vertical slices. Provided is a three-dimensional planar channel gate-all-around NAND flash memory. A method to manufacture the memory accompanies a buttress process.
