The present invention relates to an audio video navigation (AVN) terminal, a method for guiding a user to wear a seat belt by using the same, and a recording medium thereof. The AVN terminal includes: a memory which records a seat belt non-usage index regarding passengers in one or more seats in a vehicle; a sensor which senses whether the passengers in the seats wear seat belts or not; and a control unit which periodically senses whether the passengers wear the seat belts or not through the sensor every time the vehicle is driven, reflects the sensing result to the seat belt non-usage index recorded to the memory periodically, and regulates an operation related to the vehicle to correspond to the seat belt non-usage index reflecting the sensing result. The present invention provides a stronger cause for guiding passengers of a vehicle to wear seat belts to ensure safety of the passengers from an accident occurring when the vehicle is driven. 본 발명은 차량 내에 적어도 하나의 좌석의 탑승자에 대한 안전벨트 미착용 지수가 기록된 메모리와; 상기 적어도 하나의 좌석에 대한 탑승자의 안전벨트 착용 여부를 감지하는 센서와; 상기 차량의 주행 시마다 상기 센서를 통해 상기 탑승자의 안전벨트 착용 여부를 주기적 감지하고, 상기 감지된 결과를 상기 메모리에 기록된 안전벨트 미착용 지수에 주기적 반영하고, 상기 반영된 미착용 지수에 상응하게 상기 차량과 관련된 동작을 규제하는 제어부;를 포함하여 이루어지는 AVN 단말기 및 그의 안전벨트 착용 유도 방법 및 기록매체에 관한 것으로써, 차량의 탑승자에게 안전벨트의 착용을 유도하는 더 강한 요인을 제공함으로써, 차량 주행 시 사고로부터 탑승자의 안전을 확보하는 효과를 제공한다.
