According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is an image processing device. The device includes: a processor which detects the area of an object from an image including at least one object, defines a plurality of first straight lines approximating the boundary of the detected area based on the number of points crossing the boundary of the area of the object, extracts first image data for the polygonal area which is defined by the crossing points of the first straight lines, and generates second image data by correcting distortion in the first image data; and a storage unit in which the second image data is stored. Also, according to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is an image processing device.
