The present invention relates to a technology to acquire and process interested areas from medical image equipment capable of assisting doctors′ diagnosis by avoiding re-extraction of interested areas identical to the previous diagnosis based on the information inputted by users. According to an embodiment, the apparatus for avoiding re-extraction of interested areas comprises: an extracting unit for extracting interested areas after receiving medical images; a re-extraction checking unit for checking if the interested area corresponds to the previously extracted areas by using the information inputted by users about the interested areas; and an interested area processing unit for processing the interested areas depending on the result. Therefore, by using the present invention, re-extraction of the same interested areas can be prevented while receiving feedbacks from users about CAD results. 의료 영상 기기에서 관심영역의 획득 후 처리를 지원하는 기술로, 사용자 판단 정보에 기반하여 이전에 판단 받은 동일한 관심영역을 재검출하는 것을 회피하도록 하여 사용자의 진단을 지원한다. 일 양상에 따르면 관심영역의 재검출 회피 장치는 의료 영상을 입력 받아 관심영역을 검출하는 검출부, 관심영역이 검출된 경우, 미리 저장된 관심영역에 대한 사용자 판단 정보를 활용하여 관심영역이 재검출 영역에 해당하는지 여부를 판단하는 재검출 판단부 및, 판단 결과에 따라 관심영역에 대한 소정의 처리를 하는 관심영역 처리부를 포함할 수 있다. 이로써, CAD에서 사용자로부터 이전에 판단을 받은 동일한 관심영역을 재검출하는 것을 회피하고, CAD의 판정 결과에 대해 사용자로부터 피드백을 받을 수 있다.
