Summary:Provided is an image processing apparatus for an organic light emitting diode display device. The image processing apparatus can minimize an image quality loss when a still image or a moving image is displayed in the organic light emitting diode display device, by generating an output image by analyzing each characteristic of an input image and a compressed image, can prevent a high current from flowing through the organic light emitting diode display device when the organic light emitting diode display device changes a dark image into a bright image by delaying and outputting a compressed image stored by using a frame memory, and can save manufacturing costs. 입력영상과 압축영상의 특징을 각각 분석하여 출력영상을 생성함으로써, 유기발광표시장치에서 정지영상 또는 동영상이 표시될 때 화질 손실을 최소화하고, 1개의 프레임 메모리를 이용하여 압축영상을 저장한 후 지연시켜 출력하여 유기발광표시장치가 어두운 영상에서 밝은 영상으로 전환될 때 유기발광표시장치에 고전류가 흐르는 것을 방지하면서 제조비용을 절감할 수 있는 유기발광표시장치의 영상처리장치가 제공된다.
