Summary:The present invention relates to a distance measuring device and a distance measuring method using a diffraction optical element, and a portable device including a distance measuring device. The distance measuring device includes: a light source; a diffraction optical element having a fixed diffraction pattern, a photographing device photographing a pattern image formed by the light source passing through the diffraction optical element; and a distance calculation unit calculating a distance between the diffraction optical element and an object where the pattern image is projected, by analyzing the pattern image photographed by the photographing device. Therefore, the distance measuring device is formed by using the diffraction optical element so that the distance measuring device can measure the distance between the object by having simple composition and a simple process and can reduce production costs. 본 발명은, 회절광학소자를 이용한 거리측정기 및 그 거리측정방법과, 거리측정장치를 구비한 휴대용 디바이스에 관한 것으로서, 광원, 일정한 회절패턴을 갖는 회절광학소자, 회절광학소자를 통과한 광원에 의해 형성된 패턴이미지를 촬영하는 촬영장치, 촬영장치에서 촬영된 패턴이미지를 분석하여 회절광학소자와 패턴이미지가 투사된 객체 사이의 거리를 산출하는 거리산출부를 포함한다. 이에 의해, 회절광학소자를 이용하여 거리측정시스템을 구성함으로써, 간단한 구성과 프로세스로 객체와의 거리를 측정할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 원가를 절감할 수 있다.
