The liquid crystal display device of the present invention is directed to a liquid crystal display device capable of improving a charging property and uniformity and preventing a light-leakage phenomenon. The liquid crystal display device is arranged to be opposite to a thin film transistor array by interposing a liquid crystal layer therebetween, and comprises a color filter array including a black matrix and color filters. The thin film transistor array is formed in each of a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines arranged to cross each other on a substrate, a plurality of thin film transistors formed in each of the crossed portions of a plurality of gate lines and data lines, and pixel domains defined by crossing a plurality of gate lines and data lines, and comprises a plurality of pixel electrodes in contact with each of a plurality of thin film transistors at an interval of a first protective film, and a common electrode arranged to overlap with the plurality of pixel electrodes at an interval of a second protective film. The first protective film comprises a concave portion formed in an area corresponding to the pixel domain and a convex portion corresponding to the black matrix. The second protective film comprises a plane portion and a projection part alternately arranged in the area corresponding to the concave portion of the first protective film.
