Summary:The present invention relates to a method for evaluating the stability of a submarine cable protection facility which is directly or indirectly installed on a submarine cable to protect the submarine cable installed on the sea bottom to supply power between islands or between an island and land. According to the method of the present invention, in order to evaluate, against wave energy, the stability of a submarine cable protection facility for protecting a submarine cable installed in shallow water where there is a damage factor or a hazard element, which does not exist in deep water, such as wave power or wave energy, a series of processes for evaluating the stability of the submarine cable protection facility using the wave energy value of each protection facility, which is obtained through a hydraulic experiment, can be implemented in a software manner, thereby accurately and easily evaluating the real protection performance and stability of the submarine cable protection facility against wave energy and selectively using the appropriate protection facility based on the result of the evaluation. The method of the present invention comprises a database construction step, a data input step, a data processing step, a wave energy calculation step, a determination step, a wave energy insertion step, and an evaluation step. 본 발명은 섬과 섬 사이 또는 섬과 육지 사이에 전력을 공급하기 위하여 해저에 설치되는 해저케이블을 보호하기 위해 해저케이블에 직, 간접적으로 설치되는 해저케이블 보호설비의 안정성을 평가하기 위한 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따르면, 파력 또는 파랑 에너지와 같이 심해(deep water)에서는 존재하지 않는 위해요인(damage factor 또는 hazard element)이 존재하는 천해(shallow water)에 설치되는 해저케이블을 보호하기 위한 해저케이블 보호설비의 파랑에너지에 대한 안정성을 평가하기 위해, 수리모형실험(hydraulic experiment)을 통하여 얻어진 각 보호설비의 파랑에너지 값을 이용하여 해저케이블 보호설비의 안정성을 평가하는 일련의 과정을 소프트웨어적으로 구현할 수 있도록 구성됨으로써, 해저케이블 보호설비의 실질적인 보호성능 및 파랑에너지에 대한 안정성을 정확하고 용이하게 평가할 수 있는데 더하여, 그러한 평가결과에 근거하여 적절한 보호설비를 선택하여 사용할 수 있도록 구성되는 해저케이블 보호설비의 파랑에너지 안정성 평가방법이 제공된다.
