The present invention relates to a letter sequence sorting system composed of: a post net database receiving address change information from a reporter through an address change report system and storing and managing the information; an address change information managing unit changing the letter sequence information on a previous address by matching the previous address up with a delivery zone or a delivery branch for a new address; a letter sequence sorter database storing the changed letter sequence information and generating a virtual delivery zone or a virtual delivery branch for poster matters for receivers whose address change has been reported; and a letter sequence sorter ranging the poster matters for receivers whose address change has been reported to the generated virtual delivery zone or virtual delivery branch and to a letter sequence sorting method. The letter sequence sorting system according to the present invention is capable of changing the letter sequence information of the poster matters for receivers, whose address change has been reported, by the address change information managing unit and mechanically ranging the poster matters according to the changed letter sequence information so the workload of mailmen can be reduced. 본 발명에 따른 집배순로구분 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 주소이전 신고 서비스를 통해, 신고자로부터 새로운 주소이전 정보를 제공받아 저장 및 관리하는 포스트넷 데이터베이스와, 기존 주소를 새로운 주소의 배달구 또는 배달점에 매칭하여, 상기 기존 주소의 순로정보를 변경하는 주소이전 정보 관리부와, 상기 변경된 순로정보를 저장하고, 주소이전 신고 우편물을 위한 가상집배구와 가상배달점을 생성하는 집배순로구분기 데이터베이스와, 상기 생성된 가상집배구 또는 가상배달점에 주소이전 신고 우편물을 정렬하는 집배순로구분기를 포함하여 구성된다. 본 발명에 따른 집배순로구분 시스템은 주소이전 정보 관리부에서 주소이전 신고 우편물의 순로정보를 변경하고, 변경된 순로정보에 의해 상기 주소이전 신고 우편물이 기계 정렬되기 때문에 집배원의 업무량을 경감시킬 수 있다.
