Summary:The present invention relates to a method for forming a stable aqueous dispersion substance as a second polymer particle by bringing a stable aqueous dispersion substance of a first polymer particle into contact with: methyl methacrylate or styrene; C1-C10-alkyl acrylate; and a polymerizable carboxylic acid monomer, under an emulsion polymerization condition. The Tg of the first polymer particle ranges from -30 to 30°C, whereas the theoretical Tg of the monomer ranges from 50 to 120°C. The present invention further relates to a dispersion substance of the second polymer particle which is useful as a binding agent for improving freeze-thaw stability in a coating formulation. 본 발명은 메틸 메타크릴레이트 또는 스티렌; C-C-알킬 아크릴레이트; 및 중합성 카복실산 모노머를 제1 폴리머 입자의 안정한 수성 분산물과 에멀젼 중합 조건하에 접촉시켜 제2 폴리머 입자의 안정한 수성 분산물을 형성하는 것을 포함하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 제1 폴리머 입자는 T가 -30 ℃ 내지 30 ℃의 범위이고, 모노머는 이론 T가 50 ℃ 내지 120 ℃의 범위이다. 본 발명은 또한 코팅 제제에서 동결-융해 안정성을 개선하기 위한 결합제로서 유용한 제2 폴리머 입자의 분산물에 관한 것이다.
