This invention relates to a location determining system for a mobile terminal and controlling method thereof. The system includes a location determining terminal attached to a subscriber; a location determining node which collects location information through communications with the location determining terminal; a location determining gateway which collects location determining information and transmits the information to a location determining server; and the location determining server which calculates and estimates a location using the location determining information. The location determining method related to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise the following steps of: broadcasting periodically first information by the location determining terminal that is attached to at least one object; receiving the first information from the location determining terminal, by at least one location determining node; transmitting second information determined corresponding to the received first information, by the at least one location determining node, to the location determining terminal; transmitting the first information and the second information, by the location determining terminal, to the location determining server; estimating a location of the at least one object, by the location determining server, using the first information and the second information; and transmitting the location information of the estimated at least one object, by the location determining server, to the location determining gateway composing a mesh network. 본 발명은이동 단말 측위 시스템 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 구체적으로 본 발명은 가입자에 부착된 측위단말기, 측위단말기와의 통신을 통하여 위치 정보를 수집하는 측위노드, 측위정보를 수집하여 측위서버로 전송하는 측위게이트웨이 및 측위 정보를 이용하여 측위를 계산 추정하는 측위 서버를 포함하는 측위 시스템을 사용자에게 제공하고자 한다. 본 발명의 일예와 관련된 위치 인식 방법은, 적어도 하나의 객체에 부착된 측위단말기가 주기적으로 제 1 정보를 방송하는 단계; 적어도 하나의 측위노드가 상기 측위단말기로부터 상기 제 1 정보를 수신하는 단계; 상기 적어도 하나의 측위노드가 상기 수신한 제 1 정보에 대응하여 결정된 제 2 정보를 상기 측위단말기로 전송하는 단계; 상기 측위단말기가 상기 제 1 정보 및 제 2 정보를 측위 서버로 전송하는 단계; 상기 측위 서버가 상기 제 1 정보 및 제 2 정보를 이용하여, 상기 적어도 하나의 객체의 위치를 추정하는 단계; 및 상기 측위 서버가 상기 추정된 적어도 하나의 객체의 위치 정보를 메쉬망을 구성하는 측위게이트웨이로 전송하는 단계;를 포함할 수 있다.
