Summary: | The present invention provides a thienothiophene liquid crystal compound of chemical formula 1 having high dielectric constant aeolotropy and low viscosity to satisfy the conditions, a liquid crystal composition including the same, and an electro-optic device including the same. The present invention relates to a novel thienothiophene liquid crystal compound, a liquid crystal composition including one or more thienothiophene liquid crystal compounds, and an optical liquid crystal display device containing the liquid crystal composition. A liquid crystal compound including a novel thienothiophene derivative is produced, and a liquid crystal composition including the same is composed, so very excellent rotation viscosity, refractive index, and dielectric constant aeolotropy may be ensured. The physical aeolotropy plays an important role to reduce a threshold voltage needed to improve a rapid response speed required by an LCD.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 조건을 충복하기 위해 유전율 이방성이 크고, 점성이 낮은 하기 화학식 1의 티에노티오펜 액정 화합물, 그를 포함하는 액정 조성물 및 그를 포함하는 전기광학소자를 제공한다. 화학식 1 액정 화합물본 발명은 신규 티에노티오펜 액정 화합물, 하나 이상의 티에노티오펜 액정 화합물을 포함하는 액정 조성물 및 이 액정 조성물을 함유하는 광학 액정 표시장치에 관한 것이다. 신규 티에오티오펜 유도체를 포함하는 액정 화합물을 제조하고, 이를 포함하는 액정 조성물을 구성함으로써, 매우 우수한 회전점도, 굴절율 그리고 유전율 이방성을 가질 수 있다. 이러한 물리적 이방성은 LCD에서 요구하는 신속한 응답속도를 개선하는데 필요한 문턱전압을 낮추는데 중요한 역할을 한다. |
