Provided are a method and a device for transmitting data, capable of enhancing transmission efficiency and communicating safely without increasing a bandwidth of password data under the condition that encrypted data has a variable transmission success rate depending on network quality. The provided method comprises the following steps: measuring the network quality of a channel, and selecting lossy compression or lossless compression depending on a result of the measurement; compressing original data to be transmitted in the selected compression method; encrypting the compressed data; performing an error correcting encoding on the encrypted data; and interleaving the error correcting encoded data. 암호 데이터가 망 품질에 따라 전송 성공률이 달라질 수 있는 환경에서 암호 데이터의 대역폭을 증가시키지 않으면서 전송 효율을 높이고 안전하게 통신할 수 있는 데이터 전송 방법 및 장치를 제시한다. 제시된 방법은 채널의 망 품질을 측정하고 그 결과에 따라 손실 압축 또는 무손실 압축을 선택하는 단계, 전송할 원본 데이터를 압축하되 선택된 압축 방식으로 압축하는 단계, 압축된 데이터를 암호화하는 단계, 암호화된 데이터에 대한 오류정정부호화를 수행하는 단계, 및 오류정정부호화를 거친 데이터를 인터리빙하는 단계를 포함한다.
