The present invention relates to a workpiece holder for a machine tool comprising: a locking means for locking a workpiece and a receptacle, and a clamping means for connecting and clamping the workpiece holder and the receptacle; and to an engagement mechanism of a receptacle for accommodating the same. The clamping means is placed at a more inward position in the receptacle than the locking means.
