Summary: | According to an embodiment of the present invention, a light emitting device includes: a light emitting structure including a first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer which is arranged under the first conductive semiconductor layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer which is arranged under the active layer; a protection layer which is arranged on the light emitting structure and includes a through region; a first electrode which is arranged in the through region and is electrically connected to the first conductive semiconductor layer; an electrode pad which is electrically connected to the first electrode and includes a first region arranged on the first electrode, and a second region which is arranged on the protection layer; and a second electrode which is electrically connected to the second conductive semiconductor layer.
