The present invention relates to a composition for anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation, containing an extract of fermented chestnut burr as an active ingredient. More specifically, through various experiments, the fermented specimens exhibit effects on skin inflammatory diseases and strong anti-oxidative effects, and thus the composition can be useful for a pharmaceutical composition or a cosmetic composition for external skin for anti-oxidation or anti-inflammation, wherein the experiments are regarding measuring anti-inflammatory activities including measurement of electron donating ability, measurement of 2,2′-azino-bis 3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS) radical elimination ability, measurement of hydrogen peroxide elimination ability, and measurement of nitric oxide (NO) radical elimination ability. 본 발명은 발효 밤송이 추출 정제물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 전자공여능 (electron donating ability) 측정, ABTS 라디칼(radical) 소거능 측정, 과산화 수소(hydrogen peroxide) 소거능 측정 등의 항산화 활성 실험; Nitric Oxide (NO) radical 소거능 측정실험 등의 항염 활성 실험 등의 다양한 실험을 수행한 바, 상기 발효 시료들이 강력한 항산화, 또는 피부 염증성 질환 등을 나타냄을 확인함으로써 상기 조성물을 항산화, 또는 항염증용 피부외용 약학조성물 또는 화장료 조성물로 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
