Summary:The present invention relates to a citripericarpium composition with effects of protecting neurons and improving memory, which comprises: ginseng, Poria cocos, Citri Unshiu Pericarpium Immaturus, Rhemannia glutinosa Liboschitz, and honey, and also relates to a functional food containing the same. The citripericarpium composition using honey repairs damage caused by oxidative damage of the neurons, and has efficacy on memory impairment and failure in cognitive abilities which are caused by failure or damage on a cholinergic system in a central nervous system. Also, components contained in the honey and the citripericarpium composition of the present invention has effects of inhibiting activities of caspase-3 relates with apoptosis. 본 발명은 인삼; 복령; 청피; 지황즙; 및 꿀;을 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 신경세포보호 및 기억력개선효과를 갖는 청피경옥고 조성물 및 이를 함유하는 기능성식품에 관한 것으로서, 잡화꿀을 이용한 청피경옥고는 신경세포의 산화적 손상에 의한 손상을 거제하며, 중추 신경계의 콜린성시스템(cholinergic system)의 이상 및 손상에 의해 나타나는 기억력 감퇴와 인지능력 상실에 효과가 있고, 잡화꿀과 청피경옥고 성분이 세포사멸과 관련이 깊은 caspase-3의 활성을 억제하는 효과가 있다.
