The present invention relates to an electronic device and a method for obtaining image data. The electronic device includes: a camera obtaining a preview image and an image content; and an image processing module which generates feature information by checking the preview image and related information and generates image data by adding at least one piece of feature information to the image content obtained from the preview image. 본 개시는 프리뷰 영상 및 이미지 컨텐츠를 획득하는 카메라, 프리뷰 영상과 관련된 프리뷰 영상과 관련된 정보를 확인하여 적어도 하나의 속성정보를 생성하고, 프리뷰 영상으로부터 획득된 이미지 컨텐츠에 적어도 하나의 속성정보를 추가하여 영상데이터를 생성하는 영상처리모듈을 포함할 수 있고, 다른 실시 예로도 적용이 가능하다.
