Provided is an injection molding machine capable of enhancing degree of detection accuracy for defects on the molding device during a mold-closing process. The injection molding machine of the present invention comprises: a fixing platen where a fixing mold is mounted onto; a movable platen where a movable mold is mounted onto; a driving part transporting the movable platen with respect to the fixing platen; and a controlling device controlling the driving part regarding the mold-closing process. Moreover, a mold protecting section includes a first section and a second section connected from the first section.
