A substrate separating apparatus according to the embodiment of the present invention separates a growth substrate from a laminate structure of a support substrate, a semiconductor layer, and the growth substrate. The substrate separating apparatus includes a first base on which the laminate structure is loaded and which includes a first gripping unit which grips the support substrate defining the bottom of the laminate structure and a heating unit which heats the laminate structure, and a second base which includes a second gripping unit which is arranged on the upper side of the first gripping unit and grips the growth substrate defining the upper side of the laminate structure. 본 실시 형태에 따른 기판 분리 장치는, 지지 기판, 반도체층 및 성장 기판의 적층 구조물에서 성장 기판을 분리하는 장치에 있어서, 상기 적층 구조물이 놓이며, 상기 적층 구조물의 바닥면을 정의하는 상기 지지 기판을 파지하는 제1 파지 수단 및 상기 적층 구조물을 가열하는 가열 수단을 구비하는 제1 베이스; 및 상기 제1 파지 수단 상부에 배치되어 상기 적층 구조물의 상면을 정의하는 상기 성장 기판을 파지하는 제2 파지 수단을 구비하는 제2 베이스를 포함할 수 있다.
