Summary:The objective of the present invention is to provide an ultrasonic sonar apparatus which can inform a direction of a current detection target for a user to understand easily. In order to achive the objective, according to the present invention, if a transmission direction (scanning angle) transmitted from a real ship (11) is changed, a transmission direction screen (15) displays a transmission direction indication image together with a detected image according to the change. The transmission direction display image displays a screen which shows a ship (150), a water surface (151) where the ship (150) floats, a bottom (153) considered as the sea floor or a lake floor, and an underground part (152) between the water surface (151) and the bottom (153), in a bird′s-eye-view diagram, except the transmission direction screen (158) which shows the transmission direction of an ultrasonic beam (TB) in a diagram.
