Disclosed are an apparatus for distributing the traffic to a server based on a cloud by client traffic isolation, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, a domain name server (DNS), which provides a selective IP address among a plurality of IP addresses of a server corresponding to the DNS inquires in response to the DNS inquires of a client, comprises: node data of a plurality of servers in which the DNS server is related to the DNS inquires of the client; and a rule set for providing a DNS response for an IP address of the server node related to the DNS inquires according to an IP address of the client. According to the present invention, a DNS response policy different by each client group can be applied, thereby properly providing a service to a normal user by isolating the traffic to a service server which is different with respect to each client service group.
