The present invention, from one aspect, relates to an oil-in-water emulsion composition including: a water phase component having purified water; and an oil phase component having oil, wax and fatty alcohol and a cosmetic composition containing the same. Additionally, the present invention, from another aspect, relates to a method for preparing an oil-in-water emulsion composition comprising the steps of: heating the oil phase component including the oil, the wax and the fatty alcohol; heating the water phase component having the purified water; performing a stirring operation while inputting the oil phase component into the water phase component; and cooling the stirred composition. 본 발명은 일측면에서 정제수를 포함하는 수상 성분; 및 오일(oil), 왁스(wax) 및 지방 알코올(fatty alcohol)를 포함하는 유상 성분을 포함하는 수중유형 에멀젼 조성물 및 이를 포함하는 화장료 조성물에 관한 발명이다. 또한, 본 발명은 다른 일측면에서 오일, 왁스 및 지방 알코올을 포함하는 유상 성분을 가열하는 단계; 정제수를 포함하는 수상 성분을 가열하는 단계; 상기 유상 성분을 수상 성분에 투입하면서 교반하는 단계; 및 상기 교반된 조성물을 냉각하는 단계를 포함하는 수중유형 에멀젼 조성물 제조방법에 관한 발명이다.
