The present invention relates to a method for identifying a scanned cartoon, comprising the steps of: constructing a database; calculating a ratio between width and length of the scanned image; determining whether the scanned image is an image composed of one page by using the calculation result; selecting continuous pages composed of the same number of pages by using the determination result; extracting a fingerprint of the selected image; and measuring similarity of a cartoon image corresponding to the database by using the extracted fingerprint, wherein in the step of extracting the fingerprint, a weighting factor length within a regular range from a vertical center axis of one page among the whole horizontal length of the image is set and the fingerprint is extracted within the weighting factor length. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 스캔 만화 식별 방법은 데이터베이스를 구축하는 단계; 스캔된 이미지의 가로 및 세로의 비율을 계산하는 단계; 상기 계산 결과에 의해 한 페이지로 구성된 이미지인지를 판단하는 단계; 상기 판단 결과를 이용하여 동일한 페이지 수로 구성된 연속된 이미지를 선택하는 단계; 상기 선택된 이미지의 핑거프린트를 추출하는 단계; 및 상기 추출된 핑거프린트를 이용하여 상기 데이터베이스에 대응되는 만화 이미지의 유사도를 측정하는 단계;를 포함하고, 상기 핑거프린트를 추출하는 단계는, 상기 이미지의 전체 가로 길이에서 한 페이지의 세로 중심축을 기준으로 일정 범위 이내의 가중치 길이를 설정하여 상기 가중치 길이 내의 핑거프린트를 추출한다.
