The present invention relates to: a display device integrated with a touch screen which can enhance touch sensing performance (touch sensitivity and touch sensing accuracy) by increasing touch sensing time; and a method for operating the same. In the method for operating the display device integrated with a touch screen, which is an in-cell-touch type and includes a plurality of touch blocks consisting of a common electrode formed on pixels of a liquid crystal panel, a plurality of touch groups comprises a plurality of touch blocks formed on the same horizontal line, and display driving and touch sensing driving are linked with each other by a touch group unit. Touch sensing driving is executed during a period except a display driving period of pixels constituting the touch group. 본 발명은 터치 센싱 시간을 증가시켜 터치 센싱 성능(터치 감도 및 터치 센싱 정확도)을 향상시킬 수 있는 터치 스크린 일체형 디스플레이 장치와 이의 구동 방법에 관한 것이다. 터치 스크린 일체형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법은 액정 패널의 픽셀들에 형성된 공통 전극으로 복수의 터치 블록이 구성된 인셀 터치 방식의 터치 스크린 일체형 디스플레이 장치의 구동 방법에 있어서, 동일 수평 라인에 형성된 복수의 터치 블록으로 복수의 터치 그룹이 구성되고, 터치 그룹 단위로 디스플레이 구동과 터치 센싱 구동을 연동시키되, 터치 그룹에 구성된 픽셀들의 디스플레이 구동 기간을 제외한 기간에 터치 센싱 구동이 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다.
