Summary:Disclosed are an agent for reducing an oxide of magnesium, a thermal reducing agent for manufacturing magnesium using the same agent and a magnesium manufacturing method using the same agent. The agent for reducing an oxide of magnesium according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: 1 to 2 wt% of iron (Fe); 50 to 99 wt% of metal silicon (M-Si); and the remainder consisting of impurities. 마그네슘의 산화물을 환원시키는 환원제, 상기 환원제를 사용하는 마그네슘 제조용 열환원 장치 및 상기 환원제를 이용한 마그네슘 제조방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 마그네슘의 산화물을 환원시키는 환원제는 중량%로서, 철(Fe): 1 내지 2%, 금속실리콘(M-Si): 50 내지 99%, 및 잔부인 불순물을 포함한다.
