Summary:Provided are polymer compositions containing an ultraviolet radiation absorbing polyglycerol that has low fractions of diglycerol chromophore conjugates and that includes a UV-chromophore chemically bound thereto, processes to prepare the polymer compositions that includes: preparing a polyglycerol intermediate by polymerizing glycerol; removing residual glycerol and low molecular weight fractions from the polyglycerol intermediate to form an enriched polyglycerol intermediate having low fractions of diglycerol; and reacting the enriched polyglycerol intermediate with a UV-chromophore having a complementary functional group to form the polymer composition, and compositions using the ultraviolet radiation absorbing polyglycerol. 낮은 분율의 다이글리세롤 발색단 콘주게이트들을 가지며 화학 결합된 UV-발색단을 포함하는 자외 방사선 흡수 폴리글리세롤을 함유하는 중합체 조성물뿐만 아니라, 글리세롤을 중합하여 폴리글리세롤 중간체를 제조하는 단계; 폴리글리세롤 중간체로부터 저분자량 분획들 및 잔류 글리세롤을 제거하여, 낮은 분율의 다이글리세롤을 갖는 풍부화된 폴리글리세롤 중간체를 형성하는 단계; 및 풍부화된 폴리글리세롤 중간체를 상보적 작용기를 갖는 UV-발색단과 반응시켜 중합체 조성물을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 그러한 중합체 조성물의 제조 방법, 및 자외 방사선 흡수 폴리글리세롤을 사용하는 조성물이 제공된다.
