Summary:The present invention relates to a system and a method for managing the heat of an engine, and more specifically, to a system and a method for managing the heat of an engine which can resolve problems that can prevent an engine from overheating and an excessive increase in the temperature of cooling water and resolve problems which can occur due to such excessive increase in the temperature of cooling water. To achieve the purpose, the present invention provides a system and a method for managing the heat of an engine. The system comprises: a cooling water temperature sensor which detects the temperature of engine cooling water; an engine control part which determines whether entering a torque reducing mode in accordance with cooling water temperature detected by the cooling water temperature sensor and executes an engine control of reducing an engine torque under a condition of entering the torque reducing mode; and a display part which is controlled to display whether the engine control part enters the torque reducing mode. 본 발명은 엔진 열 관리 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 엔진 과열 및 냉각수온 과다한 상승을 방지하고 냉각수온 과다 상승으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 해소할 수 있는 엔진 열 관리 장치 및 방법을 제공하는데 주된 목적이 있는 것이다. 상기한 목적을 달성하기 위해, 본 발명은, 엔진 냉각수의 온도를 검출하는 냉각수 온도센서; 냉각수 온도센서에 의해 검출되는 냉각수 온도에 따라 토크 저감 모드 진입 여부를 결정하고, 토크 저감 모드 진입 조건에서 엔진 토크를 저감하는 엔진 제어를 수행하는 엔진 제어부; 및 엔진 제어부에 의해 토크 저감 모드 진입 여부를 표시하도록 제어되는 표시부를 포함하는 엔진 열 관리 장치, 및 그 방법을 제공한다.
