An electronic key system for a vehicle is disclosed. The electronic key system for a vehicle according to an aspect of the present invention comprises: an SMK unit having a control line to supply a steering column lock or lock release signal from a first MCU to an ESCL unit and an activation line to supply an activation signal from the first MCU to the ESCL unit; and the ESCL unit having a second MCU to receive the lock or lock release signal from the control line and a branch line to supply power to a locking unit by the activation signal from the activation line.
