The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus to control an input transmitted to a touch screen, and more specifically to a method and an apparatus to control an input by generating coordinate change information of an input transmitted to a touch keyboard on a touch screen. A method to control an input transmitted to a touch screen according to the present invention comprises steps of: generating coordinate information by analyzing a coordinate of a touch keyboard displayed on a touch screen; generating input information by analyzing information for a location value of an input transmitted to the touch screen, a moving speed, and a time of the input maintained at each location; and selecting a key which received the input, among the touch keyboard keys, based on coordinate information and input information. The present invention provides a touch input method, being: intuitive, easy to operate, corresponding to an intention of a user, and precise, for a user, by efficiently controlling the input of the user through a touch screen display. 본 발명은 터치스크린 상에 수신된 입력을 제어하기 위한 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 터치스크린 상의 터치키보드에 대해 수신된 입력의 좌표변화 정보를 생성하여 입력을 제어하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 터치스크린 상에 수신된 입력을 제어하는 방법은, 터치스크린 상에 표시되는 터치키보드 키의 좌표를 분석하여 좌표정보를 생성하는 단계, 터치스크린에 수신된 입력의 위치값, 이동속도 및 각각의 위치에서 입력이 유지되는 시간에 대한 정보를 분석하여 입력정보를 생성하는 단계, 좌표정보와 입력정보를 기초로 터치키보드 키 중에서 입력이 수신된 키를 선택하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명은 터치스크린 디스플레이를 통해 효율적으로 사용자의 입력을 제어함으로써, 사용자에게 직관적이고 조작이 용이한 터치 입력 방법 및 사용자의 의도에 부합하는 정확한 터치 입력 방법을 제공하는 효과가 있다.
