The present invention provides an electrode for generating plasma and a plasma processing apparatus including the same, capable of uniformizing plasma density. The electrode for generating the plasma according to the present invention includes a plasma electrode which is arranged on a substrate support unit to support a substrate and is connected to a plasma source. The plasma electrode includes a first electrode part with a first volume, a second electrode part which protrudes from one side of the first electrode part in the longitudinal direction of the first electrode part to have a second volume which is smaller than the first volume, and a third electrode part which protrudes from the other side of the first electrode part in the longitudinal direction of the first electrode part to have a third volume which is smaller than the first volume. 본 발명은 플라즈마 밀도를 균일하게 할 수 있도록 한 플라즈마 발생용 전극 및 이를 포함하는 플라즈마 처리 장치를 제공하는 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 플라즈마 발생용 전극은 기판을 지지하는 기판 지지 수단 위에 배치되어 플라즈마 전원에 접속된 플라즈마 전극을 포함하며, 상기 플라즈마 전극은 제 1 부피를 가지는 제 1 전극부; 상기 제 1 부피보다 작은 제 2 부피를 가지도록 상기 제 1 전극부의 일측면으로부터 상기 제 1 전극부의 길이 방향으로 돌출된 제 2 전극부; 및 상기 제 1 부피보다 작은 제 3 부피를 가지도록 상기 제 1 전극부의 타측면으로부터 상기 제 1 전극부의 길이 방향으로 돌출된 제 3 전극부를 포함하여 구성될 수 있다.
