An apparatus for ensuring a safe execution of a shell command in an embedded system of the present invention comprises: a shell command detection unit for detecting a request of an execution of a shell command; and a shell command execution control unit for controlling an execution of the shell command depending on whether a password has passed according to safety levels of the detected shell command. 본 발명은 임베디드 시스템에서 쉘 커맨드(shell command) 의 비인가 실행을 모니터링하고 차단함으로써 임베디드 시스템의 보안 및 안전성을 강화하기 위한 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 임베디드 시스템에서의 쉘 커맨드 안전 실행 보장 장치는, 쉘 커맨드의 실행 요청을 검출하는 쉘 커맨드 검출부와,상기 검출된 셀 커맨드의 안전도별 패스워드 통과 여부에 따라 상기 쉘 커맨드의 실행 여부를 제어하는 쉘 커맨드 실행 제어부를 포함한다.
