The present invention relates to an apparatus for generating sound, which comprises a driving unit to vibrate a vibrating membrane by generating a magnetic field in proportion to an input current and to support the vibrating membrane and vibrating membrane around, wherein a graphene layer is formed on the vibrating membrane, thereby the bending direction can be determined depending on the magnetic field direction of the driving unit. The driving unit may comprise: a first supporting frame for supporting the upper surface of the vibrating membrane; a second supporting frame for supporting a lower surface of the vibrating membrane; and a conductive coil which surrounds the outer surface of the first and second frames.
