Summary:The present invention relates to a power conversion apparatus for reducing standby power consumption. The present invention includes: a rectifier for rectifying AC power into DC power; a transformer which converts voltage of DC power rectified from the rectifier and supplies output voltage; a PWM control module which switches a power switching element connected to the transformer and controls output voltage; a first external switch of which one side is connected to a VCC fin of the PWM control module and the other side is connected to a DIS fin of the PWM control module for supplying a disable signal; a first capacitor which is connected in parallel to one side of the first external switch; a second external switch of which one side is connected to the DIS fin of the PWM control module and the other side is connected to the grounding for supplying an enable signal; and a second capacitor which is connected in parallel to one side of the second external switch. The present invention reduces response time for entering from the disable mode of the power conversion apparatus to an enable state and reduces stress generated to the switching element in an enable mode.
