The apparatus and method may provide a roll screen for enabling a user to set a touch non-recognition area to solve inconvenience caused by an unintended touch operation while the user uses the mobile terminal. The user can set a touch non-recognition area using the roll screen even while the user uses an application. The roll screen may be expanded or reduced with respect to each edge of a touchscreen by a scroll.
