Summary:The present invention provides a shift register with a reduced area and a flat panel display device including the same. The shift register according to the present invention includes a plurality of stages which supply a gate signal to each gate line formed on a display panel. Each stage simultaneously supplies the gate signal with a different pulse width to a j number of gate lines using (j+1) clock signals which are successively supplied to have different pulse widths among k number of clock signals, wherein, j is k/2 and a natural number.
