Summary: | The present invention relates to a lithium secondary battery and a method for manufacturing the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a lithium secondary battery which includes an electrode assembly including a cathode, an anode, and a separator interposed between the cathode and anode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein the separator includes a first dispersion layer having crushed materials of multiple first capsules be dispersed on the surface facing an cathode, and a second dispersion layer having crushed materials of multiple second capsules be dispersed on the surface facing the anode. The non-aqueous electrolyte includes a first non-aqueous electrolyte discharged between the cathode and the separator from the first capsules and being stable for oxidation reaction; and a second non-aqueous electrolyte discharged between the anode and the separator and being stable for reduction reaction. And the coated film of the first capsules and the coated film of the second capsules are made of a binder polymer having inorganic particles be dispersed. According to the present invention, a process for manufacturing the lithium secondary battery can be simple by not needing an additional injection process of the non-aqueous electrolyte, selective impregnation of the electrolyte suitable for each of the cathode and anode is possible, and the mechanical properties of the separator and stability of the battery can be improved. |
