Summary:According to the present invention, a secondary battery includes a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte solution. The cathode includes a cathode current collector and a cathode active material layer provided to the cathode current collector. The cathode active material layer is formed in a single layer and includes a plurality of particles of the cathode active material. An average particle size of the cathode active material in a top layer is smaller than an average particle size of the cathode active material in a bottom layer in two or more divided cathode active material layers when the cathode active material layer is divided into two or more layers on one or more random locations.
