Summary:An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method and a system for recording a performance for record/replay. A performance monitoring system comprises a setting unit to determine a performance counter used for measurement and a measured performance event; a performance measurement unit to measure the performance of a performance event related to a measurement point related to the performance measurement; a counter measurement unit to decode the value of the performance counter by stopping the performance measurement of the performance event by calling a performance monitoring application program interface (API); and a recording unit to store the value of the performance counter decoded by calling the performance recorder with a predetermined content structure.
