Summary: | The present invention provides a silyl-protected nitrogen-containing cyclic compound represented by chemical formula (1). In chemical formula 1, R^1, R^2, R^3 are unsubstituted or substituted monovalent C1-C20 hydrocarbon groups, R^4 and R^5 are divalent C1-C10 hydrocarbon groups, R^6, R^7, R^8 are hydrogen atoms or C1-C20 unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon groups, A is -C(O)OR^9 wherein R^9 is either an unsubstituted or substituted C1-C20 hydrocarbon group or -C≡N, and a is 0 or 1. The silyl-protected nitrogen-containing cyclic compound according to the present invention is useful as a resin additive, a coating additive, an adhesive, etc. as rigidity, high mechanical strength, and transparency in regions including an ultraviolet region and a visible-light region can be imparted if the silyl-protected nitrogen-containing cyclic compound is added to resins such as polyurethane, polyester and polycarbonate and the compound can be manufactured into a one-component curable composition. |
