Summary:The present invention relates to a portable terminal. The portable terminal includes: a reception unit which receives GPS information from a GPS satellite; an acquisition unit which acquires sensing information from at least one of a speed sensor and a steering sensor of a vehicle connected though an external interface; a determination unit which determines whether the vehicle is located in at least one of a shadow region and a multi-path region by using at least one of the GPS information and the sensing information; and a calculation unit which, when it is determined that the vehicle is located in the at least one region, corrects a current position coordinate value of the vehicle, which is calculated from the GPS information, by using the sensing information.
