The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method to provide information on a vehicle′s surroundings which comprises: a first information extracting unit collecting sensing information on the vehicle′s surroundings, and based on this extracting, the second best information and object information; a second information extracting unit acquiring an image about the vehicle′s surroundings, and based on this extracting, the second best information and object information; and an information converging unit matching the second best information and the object information extracted from the first information extracting unit with the second best information and the object information extracted from the second information extracting unit, and then mutually compared the same, determining the final second best information and object information based on the results and providing a control unit of the vehicle with the same.
